This is actually a picture of sweet baby Jack with Kate and Ryan...a little scary to think this is what my family will look like in just about 3 months.
Chad is really relieved Ryan is getting a brother to play with. Ryan plays whatever Kate does...including barbie and dress up.

A trip to the petting zoo
Ryan moved to a big bed last week. We have some travel plans coming up, and I didn't want to haul a pack and play accross the country. I decided to do a littel experiment to see if he would sleep in a big bed. We started talking about it on a Thurday, and Friday night let him sleep in Kate's room on her trundle bed. We put the kids down at about 8:30. At 8:45 Kate was fast asleep. At 9:15 I heard some noise coming from Kate's room. Ryan was having a harder time settling down. He started by collecting a few books, a purse, a few other toys top ut in the bed with him. After we took those away we heard some water running in Kate's bathroom. Ryan had gone in and started flushing the potty. Once we turned off the bathroom light and threatened to put him back in the crib, he was able to settle down and go to sleep. The next night went much smoother. The kids take turns now- one sleeping in the trundle bed and one in Kate's big bed. THis would really be great, except that they now get up really early. Before Kate would sleep until 6:45 or 7, and Ryan till 7:30 or 8:00. Now they both get up at 6:15 almost evry morning. What do I do about that?!?
